The Rand McNally Support Dock Software is an essential part of your Rand McNally GPS device.* Not only because It provides you with free software upgrades and access to Rand McNally Lifetime Map Updates. Through the Dock, you can also access the user guide for your device. Similarly send feedback to Rand McNally via the feature called “Tell Rand.”

*Rand McNally tablets do not use the Dock software. Therefore, Updates are delivered OTA for tablets. When you connect Rand McNally tablet to Wi-Fi and if there is an update available. So You will receive a notification in the upper left corner of your tablet’s screen.

Rand McNally Support Dock System Requirements

  • Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10*
  • MAC OS X 10.5 and higher, Intel-based only (El Capitan requires XQuartz version 2.7.8)

*Windows computers require .Net framework 3.5 or higher.

Car GPS: Road Explorer 5; Road Explorer 7, Road Explorer 50, Road Explorer 60

In addition : Rand McNally tablets, OverDryve devices and TND 540/740 models do not use the Dock software. Because these devices receive all updates via Wi-Fi. When you are connected to Wi-Fi and an update is available. You will receive a notification on the home screen of your device.
